3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick softened margarine
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 slightly beaten egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup uncooked regular oats
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4
oz.)
2/3 cup wheat germ
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked crisp, drained, and
crumbled
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, soda and salt. Mix well
and set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Add flour mixture, mixing well. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto
ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 16 minutes. Cool on baking sheet before removing to cooling rack.
Store in an airtight container.
