2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
6 tbl vegetable oil
1 egg
2/3 cup cold water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine dry ingredients and mix
well. Add the remaining ingredients and stir with a wooden
spoon to form a stiff dough. Alternately, combine all
ingredients in a food processor and process until dough
forms. Roll out to a thickness of about 1/2 inch; cut into
dog bone shapes with dog bone cutters or into sticks about three
inches long and 3/4 inch wide. Bake on an ungreased baking
sheet for 25 minutes. Cool on a rack, then store in an
airtight container. Yields approximately 20 biscuits.
