Our guarantee to you.
Please read the following warranty, as it protects you, as the
buyer, and gives you certain rights and responsibilities.
Currently, all puppies are fed with Pedigree Puppy. We
recommend using a very high quality dog food. Puppy food should be fed until the
puppy is approximately one year of age. Please feed a soy-free
food or treats as the likelihood of skin allergies is high because Shih Tzus
or Cocker Spaniels tend to be allergic to soy products. We do not assume
responsibility for illness incurred by poor nutrition.
Warranty.
Upon delivery it is the
responsibility of Sunnyhill Kennels to deliver a clean, healthy,
socialized puppy; free of disease, life-threatening defects,
internal or external. Upon full payment and proof of
spay/neutering the puppy, Sunnyhill Kennels will provide all applicable AKC papers. All puppies that
are sold as a family pets (limited registration) will be entered
as such in the individual records, and with the American Kennel
Club as well. (This means no breeding rights will be granted.)
Responsibilities of the
buyer.
Have your puppy examined by your veterinarian within seventy-two
(72) hours of purchase or an agreed upon time with Sunnyhill
Kennels. If the veterinarian finds a life threatening disease, have
him notify us at (402) 534-2046 immediately. Sunnyhill Kennels will replace the puppy with another one of the same sex and breed
of equal value as soon as one is available. No refunds will be
given.
If a puppy has life threatening illness due to a congenital defect up
to one year of age and dies, we will replace the puppy with one of equal value as
soon as one is available. Our veterinarian must confirm the
diagnosis. All transportation costs and veterinarian fees are the
responsibility of the owner. The puppy MUST be returned to us to
be replaced, unless death of puppy occurs.
Please keep the puppy away from other strange dogs, animals, or
pet shops until all the necessary puppy shots have been given by
16 weeks of age.
We do not guarantee adult
size or color.
We do not guarantee the color and size
of the puppy when it reaches adulthood. Shih Tzus are known to
change colors (usually they get lighter) as they grow older. We
also do not guarantee against any complications that may arise
from vaccinations nor anesthesia that may impair or cause death of
puppy. No
other terms, provisions, or assurances, stated or implied, shall
apply to this agreement other than those stated above. We feel we
are responsible for every puppy born at Sunnyhill Kennels for the
lifetime of the dog. If you cannot keep the dog, we will take it
back. We don’t ever want any of our Shih Tzus or Cocker Spaniels
to be placed in a
shelter. We can find homes for a free Shih Tzu or Cocker Spaniel. No fees other than
transportation fees will be paid to you to reclaim the puppy.
If you violate any terms of this agreement,
the guarantee will be deemed null and void.
